The joy of teaching
Probably I’m a melancholic alumnus since I mostly recall positive experiences that happened while being a student. The truth is I’ve always responded positively to invitations coming from the high-school or the universities I graduated, whether I was supposed to give a speech, be part of a jury or to join a panel of experts.
Shortly after graduating from university, I was invited by Sorin Psatta, my former professor and senior strategist at Graffiti/BBDO, to teach Media Planning at the University of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC). Soon after, other senior professors (Prof. Ioana Cecilia Popescu and Prof. Dan Petre) invited me to lecture similar courses at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) and the Marketing Faculty (ASE).
For 15 years (2002 – 2017) I prepared and lectured several courses and seminars, focusing on the practical hot areas of marketing that students were eager to discover:
- International Marketing
- YouTube Viral Marketing
- Strategic Planning
- Media Strategy & Planning
- Integrated Communications
The long-run passion for mixing professional experience with teaching activities also led me to the opportunity to prepare and lecture two courses at the Romanian-Canadian MBA in Bucharest:
- International Unconventional Marketing (2014-2015)
- International Media Strategy (2006-2007, 2007-2008 and 2009-2010)
